Armed with just a laptop and a Turtle Beach headset, Guxp recorded his first track, ThroughTheNite Interlude. Although it was far from perfect, it filled a void he’d been craving in music—an authentic sound that resonated with him. From there, he continued experimenting, collaborating with Oni and Boo, honing his craft, and developing his own distinctive style.

By December 2022, just months after starting his rap career in May of that year, Guxp released his debut tape, iHateintimacy. In just six short months, he had made significant strides, demonstrating a rapid growth in both his sound and artistry. This quick progression fueled his passion and motivated him to take music more seriously, marking the beginning of what promises to be a long and impactful career.

Guxp’s influences are vast and diverse, ranging from Wu-Tang Clan to Tyler, The Creator, Fetty Wap, Trippie Redd, and Lil Uzi Vert. As for role models, Tyler, The Creator stands out. “He makes beautiful music, and you can tell he really takes his time to learn it,” Guxp says. “He’s the definition of a true artist.”

He’s excited about upcoming collaborations, including projects with Oni and Mosxo00, two of his closest collaborators from his early days in music.
